Here is another DIY project for you. This cake stand is truly inspiring and it can be customized to fit so many different party themes. I am already thinking of a "Sweet Shop- Sweet Baby Shower".
If the DIY instructions are not available for this specific design, you may also create your own cake tower using cake circles/cardboard circles and canned food. This might sound bizarre but check this out.
Supplies:
1. Cake circles (different sizes). You can also make your own circles from cardboard- It's cheaper.
2. Canned food from you pantry
3. Decorations (scrapbook paper of gift wrap paper or ribbons). The design is really up to you.
4. Glue gun
Thanks for this idea, it is great! I hadn't thought of tin cans before. Cheers.
ReplyDeleteI have an order for a cupcake tower. I'll be using this DIY idea!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! I found a set of Wilton cake boards with 3 each of 4 sizes (8", 10", 12", and 14") for only $6.97 at Walmart! Not bad for a cupcake stand and much cheaper than buying them separately. I like that with three of each size, I'll have plenty of sizes to choose from and I can even glue two of each one together to make it sturdier!
